Animation series with Police Scotland
Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid works closely with Police Scotland to ensure the safety of women, children, and young people experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour based abuse.
We understand that approaching the police can feel daunting for some survivors. That’s why we work in partnership to advocate for women, children, and young people, and reassure them that the authorities are there to help.
To make this easier to understand, we have teamed up with Police Scotland to create a series of animations explaining how to get support if you are experiencing domestic abuse or honour-based abuse.
The animations are designed to help victim-survivors of domestic abuse understand their rights, the support available, and how Hemat Gryffe Womens Aid and the police can help. They are available in multiple languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Polish, Punjabi, Russian, Ukrainian, Urdu, and British Sign Language. You can watch the full animation series on the Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid YouTube channel.
Domestic Abuse Animation
The animation explains that:
- All women in Scotland are protected from domestic abuse and exploitation under Scots law
- You can access support safely, regardless of your background or immigration status from Hemat Gryffe Womens Aid or Police Scotland.
