Governance
Hemat Gryffe Women's Aid is governed by a Board of Directors. The board is a diverse group of professional women who individually bring a wealth of experience and expertise from a variety of backgrounds. They provide leadership across all areas of service provision relative to the feminist ethos, aims and objectives of the charity. These women recognise their responsibilities as directors in terms of company law and in their role as trustees as required by the Scottish Charity Regulator.
The Board meet regularly with the management team in accordance with the strategic plan, for decision-making and to maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, equality and inclusion whilst upholding the principles of accountability and transparency.
The organisation is registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and is subject to inspection by the Care Inspectorate. All support staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
The robust governance structure ensures that the voices of women, children and young people inform our business strategy as well as the continuous improvement of services.
