Statistics
Our main client groups are women, children and young people from the black and minority ethnic community who are victims of domestic abuse. Our statistics are collated via the number of referrals made from women, voluntary and statutory agencies or individuals on behalf of women i.e. family, relatives or friends.
The figures highlight the number of women, children and young people we have supported within a year including the number of requests for refuge and information and support. This information is vital not only to us but other agencies whom we work in partnership with as well as our main funders. This information also assists the development and performance of our project and informs research.
The 6 main aspects that we take into consideration when collecting our statistics are
- Date
- Method of contact
- Purpose of contact
- Source of Referral
- Area
- Abuser
The Statistics page details the number of contacts made to this organisation over the year. The figures are important as they allow us to raise awareness of the extent of domestic abuse amongst the black and minority ethnic community which is otherwise regarded a hidden problem.
The cross reference facility is available and a more detailed breakdown can be provided. Please note reproduction of these figures can only be done in writing with the prior consent of Hemat Gryffe Womens Aid collective.
