Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid provide safe temporary refuge accommodation to women and their children primarily from the Asian Black and Minority ethnic community who are escaping domestic abuse either from their husband, partner or extended family member.
The refuge is a safe and secure place where the residents are provided with emotional and culturally sensitive support and assistance to enable them to make decisions about their own future.
While staying in refuge accommodation we aim to provide women with support and assistance based on their identified individual needs. A key worker from the Housing Support Staff will be appointed who will provide assistance in various areas such as welfare rights, housing advice, advocacy, support and safety planning as well as practical and emotional support and will show you the local area and the local amenities. We employ bilingual staff.
If you are fleeing domestic abuse and require refuge accommodation please contact us.
