Childrens Outreach

Our outreach service can support children who have experienced domestic abuse.

  • Every child will get a worker who they can talk to.
  • Your worker can try to help you understand what is happening at home.
  • She can see you at a safe place.
  • You can talk to your worker about anything that worries you.
  • Your worker will not tell any one what you tell her but if she is worried that somebody might hurt you or another child she may need to tell someone.

Your worker will:

  • Listen to you
  • Help you make a support plan
  • Tell you about your right to be safe.
  • Support you on your own.
  • Support you in a group
  • Help you talk to other people
  • Help you in school
  • Help you with hard decisions.
  • Tell people what you want.
  • Help you to stay safe.

We can do lots of fun things in outreach; we play games, draw and paint. We sometimes go out to the cinema, parks, soft play or for lunch.

Everything that you talk about with your key worker will remain confidential just between you and her. We want you to feel able to tell us how you are feeling and what is happening with you and to know that this is confidential.

It is very important that you know we will not share this information with anyone UNLESS we think that you or another child or young person is at risk of being harmed. A worker will always try to talk to you before she tells anyone.

Child Protection

Children and young people have the right not to be abused. At Hemat Gryffe we work to protect children and young people and keep them safe.
